Founded in 1946 the Americans for Democratic Action Education Fund (ADA Ed Fund) is a 501 c(3) organization that promotes public awareness through education, information, and communication strategies in order to achieve a more just and democratic society.
The ADA Ed Fund sponsors research on economic, social and environmental policy and publishes issue papers and reports on these topics. Through its Working Families Win project the ADA Ed Fund develops grassroots leaders, sponsors civic engagement activities and issue education projects in low-to-middle income communities around the country. The ADA Ed Fund also administers the John Kenneth Galbraith Public Policy Fellowship, which provides young activists with support for work on issues as diverse as the corporatization of American agriculture and the disenfranchisement of ex-felons.
